  • Get the Midas Touch: Create a Gold Text Effect

By Steve Bain Creating the effect of rich, golden type is very similar to the effect used to create metallic-looking illustration effects. What’s often the challenge for new illustrators is the color scheme needed, and the steps for achieving it. In this tutorial, you’ll learn in nine steps...

  • Transparency Problem

I work for an advertising agency and use Corel Draw X4 on a daily basis. I frequently have to send PDF files to newspapers for them to print which I generate using Corel. Until recently I have encountered no problems, and have not altered my workflow in any relevant way. In the last couple of weeks,...

  • X4 Drop Shadow

I am currently trying out X4 while I decide whether to upgrade from V12 (which ive been very happy with and use on a daily basis). My main reason for upgrade would be for full compatibility with Vista. Just doing some work on it at the mo and am adding a Drop Shadow preset of Small Glow and notice that...
