Hi there!
Any help would be appreciated. Coreldraw is taking forever to load (5 mins plus) and then will crash once open after a few minutes of work. I have never had a problem before (well - it does crash periodically but not like this!). I am in the middle of a big project - any help would be appreciated! I have run the repair function in the installation wizard and have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I'm running Windows XP.
Thanks so much!
Hi cwelsh12,
The standard answer when someone is having similar problems is to do a work space refresh (if you haven't already done this). You may have a corrupted work space. Hold down the F8 key while Draw is opening (click the icon and immediately hold F8). This will refresh your work space. Often, this will solve the problem.

Another possible solution: you open a document, and you open the View Docker (Ctrl+F2) and if there is some kept view, erase it. Also, yo can do the same with the Styles docker, you only need to keep three basic styles (default artistic text, default paragraph text, and default graphic). Other cause could be a conflict with the default printer. How many fonts have you installed?
Thanks so much for your assistance everyone. Well, the workspace reload did help in the speed of loading, but then it crashed again once I tried to open a file. I even did a system restore to see if I had corrupted some files somehow. I'm not able to open the View Docker - but I do have a lot of fonts installed. Could that affect it?
Thanks again!

Bad sign. Something is wrong in somewhere.

In Mac, with a powerful operating system (according to all its users say), nobody uses more than 40 fonts, for design or prepress. In Windows (we all know that has limitations and problems) some people use hundreds of fonts. The traditional limit of 720 fonts for Windows is just a nightmare... FontNavigator warns us if we installed more than 400 fonts, and I've never seen anyone that really uses more than one hundred at the same time, even with multiple jobs. The problem is that we are lazy to install and then remove, so we prefer to accumulate fonts, until one day our system collapses.
